About the piece

The Kimono Alquimia was imagined for Crisol as a piece with a quiet presence: a simple cut and soft surface leave space for the symbol on the back to hold the eye. Its character comes from proportion, movement and meaning rather than excess.

On the back, a hand-embroidered caduceus represents the reconciliation of opposites. As the garment’s main graphic gesture, the embroidery becomes its visual and conceptual center, appearing against a clean surface and turning the back of the kimono into its most intense plane.

The soft surface follows the cut without competing with the embroidery. The overall effect is clean and tactile: a piece in which volume, movement and symbol are read before any additional ornament.

It is a one-size (UT) piece, currently available in Ivory and Black. Its simple construction allows the kimono to work as an editorial layer over clean-lined garments while keeping the back embroidery as the focal point.

Made in Mexico by Mayan communities. As a hand-worked piece, small variations in the embroidery are a natural part of its character.
