The Cojín Ave Cruz is a square 60 × 60 cm piece made in 100% linen and hand-embroidered in cross-stitch. The linen weave remains visible between the stitches, so the base material actively participates in the design instead of disappearing behind the embroidery.
Cross-stitch builds the motif directly over the textile surface. Every stitch creates a small change in height and together the embroidery forms relief that can be perceived visually and by touch. The regularity of the pattern coexists with the slight variations inherent to handwork.
Linen brings a naturally pronounced texture and a drier visual reading than a smooth cotton surface. The interaction between this visible weave and the embroidered thread gives the cushion depth even in its most neutral color combinations.
The 60 × 60 cm scale gives it generous presence on a sofa, armchair or bed. It is currently available in Negro/Neutral, Gris/Neutral, Crema/Colores, Crema/Neutral, Cemento/Neutral and Blanco/Colores, offering both restrained and more chromatically contrasted versions.
Made in Mexico by Mayan communities. Each piece is embroidered individually and may show slight differences in stitch or color as part of its handcrafted process.
