The Kimono Jaguar is a midi-length, wide-sleeved piece made in 100% linen. Its silhouette combines volume and structure: the generous sleeves create presence around the body, while the linen holds the form with a drier, more defined drape than a fluid silk.
Hand embroidery covers a large part of the back and concentrates the garment’s visual value there. The rest of the kimono remains more restrained so the work of Mayan-area embroiderers can be read clearly; when walking or turning, the back becomes the main visual plane of the piece.
The linen provides enough body to preserve the breadth of the sleeves without making the silhouette rigid. That relationship between material, volume and embroidery allows the kimono to work as a statement layer over simpler garments.
Available in sizes S and M, currently in Cemento. The midi proportion allows it to work over trousers, dresses or lighter layers without completely covering the lower silhouette.
Made in Mexico by Mayan communities. Each embroidery is worked by hand, and every piece can show slight variations that belong naturally to the artisanal process.
