About the piece

The Cojín Vida Huichol Manta is a square 60 × 60 cm piece made in 100% cotton manta and finished with hand embroidery. Its scale gives it enough presence to work as a central element on a sofa, generous armchair or bed, while the manta base keeps the surface naturally textile in character.

The embroidery draws on ancestral Mexican symbolism connected to life under the sun: the sun sits at the center of the composition and, around it, everything that unfolds beneath its light. The image is not printed; it is built with thread over the manta, so the motif also exists as physical relief.

That relief changes both the tactile and visual experience of the surface. The manta creates a more even base while the embroidered thread rises above it, producing shifts in texture that can be felt by hand and seen when light falls across the cushion from the side. The embroidery brings color and energy to a composition that retains the handcrafted character of cotton.

The 60 × 60 cm size is consistent across all current variants. The catalog includes Ivory, Negro, Mostaza and Verde, allowing the same embroidered language to work within quieter or more saturated interiors depending on the chosen color.

Made in Mexico by Mayan communities. Each cushion is embroidered individually, so slight variations in line, stitch and color intensity may appear from one piece to another.
