The Ruana Huichol Aguila belongs to La Troupe’s Huichol capsule and combines a base woven in 100% rayon thread with colorful hand-embroidered appliqués. The textile is made on a backstrap loom, creating an open, flexible and enveloping layer.
The embroidery builds the symbolic reading of the piece and adds relief, density and color over the continuous rayon surface. The rayon yarn brings movement and a soft response to light as the open panels move around the body.
It is one size (UT) and currently available in Cement, Ivory, Negro, Celeste and Gold. It is conceived as a collectible piece beyond a specific season.
Made in Mexico by Mayan communities.
