The Cojín Cuzco is a 50 × 50 cm cushion built around cross-stitch embroidery and a restrained palette of greys, beige and a touch of black. Its presence is quiet: rather than dominating a room through color, it brings depth through drawing, stitchwork and the contrast between neutral tones.
The embroidered border runs across the surface in a tonal reading. Cross-stitch creates visible texture and subtle relief, changing the way light sits on the cushion and adding interest to an otherwise calm chromatic composition.
Its square 50 × 50 cm format makes it an easy mid-scale piece for a sofa, armchair or bed. It can sit next to solid textiles to introduce detail, or be layered with other embroidered cushions when a richer composition of texture is desired.
Hand-embroidered in Mexico by Mayan communities. Each piece is worked individually, so slight variations in stitch, line and tone may appear. The focus of the piece is the tactile embroidery and the neutral reading of the border, adding detail without visually overloading the space.
